Recent contemporary history has developed turbulently: a global pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the climate crisis have shaken politics, the economy, and everyday life. In this context, the term "Zeitenwende" (turning point) has gained new currency. Depending on the perspective, it serves as a cipher for an epochal break, a political reorientation, or a societal transformation.
The 15th Austrian Contemporary History Day on the theme "Times of Change - Changing Times?" critically examines political, social, economic, technological, and theoretical disruptions, continuities, and uncertainties in contemporary history.
